Windows Phone 7 Interface

Not the greatest sales record but they are still fighting for a place among the apple and android users of the world. I love android but there is no doubt the use of typography and the ease of the windows interface is far better than apple or google has produced. They definitely took a page from their own play book as the interface in some areas mimics their own zune player.

I think no matter if you are an apple or google love, no graphic designer can deny that this interface wins.

Motorola XOOM now on sale

Fresh new user interface, unlike Samsung galaxy tab which simply runs a version of android made for phones. Motorola XOOM runs androids new "honeycomb" which is an android OS specifically optimized for tablets. I love this skinning of android by motorola way better then their skin for their android phones, they call that one moto-blur. I call it ugly.

They say this is somewhat better than iPad 1 we will see if they also claim iPad2. 5mp camera with flash and I believe its a 2mp camera in the front. Works on 3g, but has optional 4g LTE plan. This is all via Verizon Wireless. The user interface reminds me of Linux, however Linux makes you feel like you are looking on the outside of a cube where as this one feels like you are on the inside.

Interactive installation for Tron opening

Might have seen this going around on the web, an insane installation for the opening of Tron:Legacy done by the Eness Group

Starbucks interactive store front

Canadian Starbucks test out an interactive installment in front of one of their shops. Using a vinyl screen and a projector the installment encouraged interactivity from customers walking in and those just passing by on the street. Highly successful in the right context.
